If you haven’t heard the name Alec Loorz yet, you will soon. This 14 year old from El Camino high school in Ventura California was so inspired after watching the movie “ An inconvenient truth” he has taken upon himself to raise awareness among his peers of the environmental havoc we have wreaked upon nature.

We support Alec and hope you will too, by participating in his events if they come to your area or by donating to his cause.

Organised by Denise Johnson and supported by DreamsFuturewithoutborders, this Raising Awareness event is centred around a contest where grade 8ers from 6 elementary schools in Dunnville, Ontario are invited to submit their feelings about a future darkened by the shadow of a looming environmental crisis.

This second year event has its theme around water. That seemingly endless resource which may yet become the cause for global conflicts as it runs out.
