Meet Sandra Hijos from Bogota Colombia. Sandra is the creative force behind this amazing collection of jewellery. Working with tagua nut as her main material, she incorporates other tree nuts and seeds to create these fashion jewellery. Tagua nut is the seed from a palm like tree that grows in South America.The seed is so hard, its commonly known as “vegetable ivory”. Most of these styles are strung together with waxed jute string with a knot in the back to adjust for size. Earrings have sterling silver hooks.
